"Going Gay"
I was talking to this a hot brunette coworker today and she was telling me about this guy she's been dating. She said how he's a great guy, but there's one thing about him that she found out yesterday that really bothers her, so much that she doesn't know if she wants to see him anymore.
So I was like "Really? What is it?" And she said "Well it's not really "him" as much as it's several of his friends that he hangs out with. And it's someething I really don't want to be around..." And I'm thinking about all the different things that it could be, and for some reason I got the impression it had something to do with racist comments, or that his friends are KKK members or some shit (she's Hispanic, by the way). So, doing my best Barry impression, I ask her "So what it it?" Then she lowers her voice to practically a whisper and I hear her say, "Going gay".
For obvious reasons I'm thinking to myself "what the fuck does that mean, "going gay"?? So I ask her to say it again and she repeats herself a little louder, and again I hear her say "going gay".
OK, so he has friends who are gay. At least, I think that's what she means by that. No big deal. Of course I have no idea why that would be justification to stop seeing him. And what the hell does she mean by "going gay"? That they're only gay sometimes but not others?
While I'm thinking this, she says how that's something she doesn't want to be around, and how she doesn't know for sure that he does it but she suspects he does since so many of his friends do, and she says how she's trying to be a schoolteacher and if people find out about it then it could hurt her career, and she could never see herself hanging out with them because of it.
Then she says that even if they tried to hide it around her, she is still taking a risk by hanging out with them. Even if she doesn't do it herself, they might get caught "with it" while she's hanging out with them. That's when it hit me, and it all made sense.
She was talking about COCAINE.
